Newcomers

If you are looking for a church home in Greensboro where you can explore your faith within a loving community of Christian fellowship, then we invite you to come to a service at St. Andrew’s. We are a warm, growing church conveniently located close to downtown Greensboro. We would love to have you attend services with us and become a part of a ministry where you can develop a deeper relationship with God in a fellowship of unconditional acceptance.

No matter where you are in your life or on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at St. Andrews. At St. Andrew’s we like to be clear about what we mean: everyone is welcome here.

You are welcome at St. Andrew’s whether you are young or old, whether you are married, single, widowed or divorced. You are welcome whether you are black or white, rich or poor, in transition or in recovery, putting down roots or trying to weather a storm. You are welcome whether you’ve  attended church your entire life or have never been to church before.

We are a community of believers who invite, welcome, and celebrate all LGBTQ individuals and families.  We are a community that is willing to engage the healing work of racial reconciliation.  We are a community where Christians who are progressive, conservative and everywhere in between gather in fellowship as the Body of Christ.

Information about our daily church life can be found in the Who We Are and Parish Life sections. Under Who We Are you can read in more detail about our vision and mission for St. Andrew’s. Our vision for St. Andrew’s is to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger and create a space for a transforming encounter with God.  You can see bios on our Clergy and Staff and Vestry. If you are new to Greensboro, you can also read about the History of St. Andrew’s.

Are you unfamiliar with the history and beliefs of the Episcopal Church? We invite you to explore the (not here yet) section of our site. We have some basic information about our beliefs and services, plus service schedules and recent sermons.

Explore the website and it will help you become familiar with what you can expect when you first visit St. Andrew’s. Select Publications from the menu to access the monthly newsletter Harmony and weekly announcement. Our Calendar of Events will give you an idea of some of our activities that happen on a daily basis at St. Andrew’s.

Come receive and experience the extraordinary, extravagant, and Christ-like welcome that is central to the life of St. Andrews.

Come celebrate with us, and feel the impact that the strength and power of God’s love can have in your life.
