All Are Welcome for Weekly Worship

**Update for February 1**

Join Us for Morning Prayer on ZOOM (not YouTube)
February 1, 10 a.m.  (No In-Person Worship)

On February 1, we will offer Morning Prayer via Zoom instead of in-person worship. The adjacent links will take you to the Zoom Meeting and the bulletin we will follow. (If prompted to enter a passcode in Zoom, use Snowday.)

** Please join early. We will open the Zoom at 9:45 to allow for technology hiccups and time to settle in before the service begins at 10 a.m. **

While we have addressed planning and logistics within our control, loss of power or internet could thwart our efforts. We fully intend to see you on Zoom at 10 a.m. Sunday, however.

Contemplative Eucharist Offered

Third Sundays at 8:30 a.m. (Chapel)

We offer a Contemplative Eucharist on third Sundays at 8:30 a.m. The service is held in the Chapel and is spoken (no music), using Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer.

Let’s Celebrate Together at Our Annual Meeting, February 8

10 a.m. Worship, followed by a Festive Reception & Meeting in the Parish Hall

Our Annual All-Parish Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026. We look forward to gathering for 10 a.m. worship, followed by a joyful reception and our meeting, when we will reflect on the ways we have been Walking in Love in our church, our community, and our world this year. We will give thanks for our outgoing vestry members and hear important updates about parish ministries. You will have an opportunity to review our budget, and we will elect our four new vestry members. Our friends from A Special Blend will return with delicious coffee, and we will have treats from parishioner Wendy Dodson of Dessert Du Jour bakery.

Lightbearers—Epiphany Formation

After Worship in Epiphany (Cloister)

Epiphany is the season of the church year when we celebrate the manifestation of Christ as light of the world and consider how we can share Christ’s light in our lives. We will explore what being the light looks like in practice with Mother Ginny and special speakers in the Cloister. Associate Choir Director Sean Toso, who shares his tremendous gifts of song and music with us in worship, will be our first speaker.

Star Words & Reflection Questions

On Epiphany Sunday we introduced Star Words, distributing star-shaped cards, each with a word on one side. As we consider together what it means to Look for the Light, reflecting on these words can serve as a simple spiritual practice, inviting you to set your intention for the new year. We will offer star word reflection questions during the Season of Epiphany.

Third Reflection Invitation:
Find a hymn or song that brings you to your word. Listen to different recordings or offerings of the music. Does it impact how you hear and understand your word?

Second Reflection Invitation:
Use a dictionary to define your star word. Does your word have multiple definitions or uses? What seems to fit and what doesn’t? What is an antonym for your word? Can you recognize the word as a gift or void in your life? A comfort or a challenge?

First Reflection Invitation:
Look for a scripture passage that resonates with you in light of your word. Read a different biblical translation of the same passage. Did the passage help you see your word in a new way? How might God be speaking to you through this passage? Are there other places where your word appears or is illuminated in the Bible?

Supporting St. Andrew’s

Walk in Love: Our Giving Pledge Campaign for 2026

Visit Our Stewardship Page for 2026
Submit a Pledge Online for 2026

Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children, and walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.   Ephesians 5:1–2

This year’s stewardship theme, Walk in Love, invites us to reflect on our generosity as a journey. Our life together thrives because of your faithful support of St. Andrew’s. As you prayerfully consider your pledge this year, know that every gift is appreciated. Each gift matters. May we give generously and joyfully so that St. Andrew’s continues to grow in Christ’s love and compassion.

The Corner Farmers Market

Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Corner of W. Market St. & Kensington Rd.

Worldwide, outdoor markets have flourished during the pandemic. That has certainly been the case here in Greensboro. Since moving to our parking lot, the Corner Market has welcomed new vendors and customers. The relocation could not have gone better, and the market is providing a connection point that’s open to everyone in our community, a connection that is so vital for many of us during this time—and all the time. Follow the Market’s Facebook page, or subscribe to the newsletter on their website for the weekly list of vendors.

One Step Further Food Pantry

This One Step Further Food Pantry, which started at St. Andrew’s, is now housed at Definition Church in Greensboro (1806 Merritt Dr., in the building behind the main building) and St. Stephen AME Zion Church in High Point (1012 Leonard Ave.). The pantry needs volunteers for a variety of tasks including deliveries and making phone calls (which can be done from home). If you can help, please email the director, Susan Cox

Food donations are collected at St. Andrew’s through our Burgundy Bag ministry and distributed weekly to the pantry. Most needed food items include: rice, pasta, beans (dried and canned), canned vegetables, and canned meats and fish. For more information about our collection at St. Andrew’s, contact Doug Sanecki.
